Mark Twain.

Not only talented with his writing, Mark Twain had brilliant advice... with wit and humor to boot! Let's sit back and enjoy Mr. Twain's great comedic verbage.

  • It is by the goodness of God that in our country we have those three unspeakably precious things: freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and the prudence never to practice either of them.

  • Let us be thankful for the fools. But for them the rest of us could not succeed.

  • If we would learn what the human race really is at bottom, we need only observe it in election times.

  • Repartee is something we think of twenty-four hours too late.

  • Familiarity breeds contempt – and children.

  • If the world comes to an end, I want to be in Cincinnati. Everything comes there ten years later.

  • Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it. The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up.

  • Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.

  • A man’s character may be learned from the adjectives which he habitually uses in conversation.

And last but certainly NOT least . . .

Samuel Clemens - "Mark Twain"
Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.
